Air Plant Shop's Next Impact: Escuela Línea B-6 Satelite

Welcome to Linea B-6 Eje Central, Guatemala!

Air Plant Shop's newest project with PoP is located in Línea B-6 Central, Guatemala. Our mission is to build a new seven classroom structure to provide a safe space for quality learning for hundreds of students. The community of Línea B-6 Eje Central currently has six formal classrooms. Unfortunately, they are not in good condition. Due to the limited space, some teachers have to share classrooms. In addition, the bathrooms at the school are not working properly which can become a hazard to student and teacher safety.

In the coming months, PoP will be partnering with the Línea B-6 Eje Central community to build a new seven-classroom structure, six restrooms and a hand washing station. The community is committed to providing higher-quality education to its students and will contribute 20% of the resources and labor required for construction. We expect to break ground in November 2021 and hope to complete construction in March 2022.

Linea B-6 Eje Central

With a population of around 600, this community is located within the Suchitepéquez district. Here, members of the community harvest corn, tobacco, and sesame. There are also small businesses such as garages and shops. The Spanish language is spoken here.
