Tillandsia Pruinosa is widely distributed species native from Florida, to Southern Mexico, Central and South America, in addition to several Caribbean Islands. Our plants have a small bulbous base, nice curling leaf arms and a thick coating of trichomes. In fact the word "Pruinosa" comes from Latin meaning "Frosty" which comes to describe its white appearance due to all the water and nutrient absorbing trichomes which cover the plant's surface. They are generally smaller and compact plants.
